Live from the stage/my workspace
Bryce York
I was born in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. I moved to the US about 10 years ago to pursue my dreams and discover myself. I lived in New York City, Miami and now I am currently living in San Diego, CA.
Before moving to the United States I was an athlete and I played waterpolo for over 10 years. I started playing competitive sports at a very young age, and I was always one of the top players in every tournament I participated. However I have always been very ambitious and I needed more in my life to achieve fulfillment. So when I finished high school I decided I wanted to enter Law School. I was accepted by Estacio de Sa University and during the years I was enrolled I maintained one of the highest GPAs in class. In 2009 I had the opportunity to go to New York City to study English and improve my knowledge of the language. I accepted the challenge and forever changed my life.
Today I speak fluent Portuguese, English and Spanish. Travel constantly around the world and experience things, and meet people from all over the Globe.
In February 2018 I was awarded an Uber Tech Scholarship to attend Ironhack's immersive UX/UI Design Bootcamp in Miami, FL. When I was informed I was on the list of the 5% of people who was accepted from almost three thousand applicants. My world changed and my whole life started to make sense.
Prior to my enrollment at Ironhack I worked in the travel and hospitality industry. An experience which now serves me incredibly well as a UX/UI designer.
